First New Car

In 2001, I split wood my sophomore year to save $1500 to buy a used 89 2WD Chevy Blazer...totaled that.

In 2003, Used $5000 in insurance money to buy a used 96 4X4 Chevy Blazer...it burnt to the ground.

Joined the Army in 2004 and used my insurance money and first paycheck to buy a used 01 4X4 Chevy Silverado...then I went to Iraq.

I returned from Iraq in 2007 and traded up for a 04 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 w/ a Hemi...then I returned to civilian life.

This past summer of 2010 I traded up for my 07 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab SR5 TRD 4X4...and I couldn't be happier.

This evening my girlfriend of 4+ years, engaged for the last 9 months, my future wife on July 9, 2011 traded in her 2002 Ford Explorer Sport for OUR first BRAND NEW VEHICLE! We drove off with a 2011 Toyota Rav4! Stoked! If you guys know of any Rav4 forums or if there is any other Taco owners with Rav4s, let me know.

PS: It came with stock steelies, and she already said I could rattle can them flat black. I think we are going to see what the tire shop will give us for trade in on some Toyo Open Country A/T. Wish me luck.
