What up everyone! I'm the proud Not-quite-owner, owner of a 2020 trd off road! First new vehicle/first truck. I've always been into sports cars, but was sick of taking my 335i on camping trips. I've played with the idea of getting a Tacoma for years, but for sure made my mind up when someone hit my parked BMW while I was out kayaking. As I was inspecting the damage (front bumper ripped off, fender mangled, trashed headlight and a bent wheel) I couldn't help but notice a Tacoma parked a couple spots away. Long story short, (Thankfully the dude left his insurance) while the car was in the shop, I got a 2019 trd off road (2wd) Tacoma as my rental! I had so much fun in that thing for the 3 weeks I had it! fast forward 7 months, and I'm the proud driver of a White DCSB off-road, with LED light package (amazing headlights).
Looking forward to modding, adventures and keeping up with TW! Image from iOS (1).jpg

You should write the guy that left his insurance info a thank you letter. Im pretty sure 75% of people in this world would have sped off after hitting a parked BMW. Nice choice btw BMWs are depreciation pits.

@excorcist The guy actually called me and made sure his insurance made everything right. Apparently it was his son's fault. Regardless I was very thankful.
And you are totally right about BMW's, while they are super fun, they are worthless after the first owner is done with it

That is awesome. I had an e90 335 before my taco. Lots of great bolt on upgrades made it a blast unfortunately it was an A/T, fun is a great descriptor but one of the only positive ones I would give it. Lost my ass after owning it for ~3 years

If you value your paycheck get off this sight ASAP. If you don’t expect the world of your truck it will do everything you want. You know you bought a mid size truck and expect it to be a mid size truck you should be happy.

@Texas T ha totally, growing up in a full size truck family, im already aware of all the flack. Thankfully I have been lurking on the site for about a year, and am very aware of how "terrible the new power train" is and how they "just are not made like they use to be".

@Nito Yea! my buddy just picked up a new Tundra and referred me, glad he did
