Yep, they have the rebate going through the end of this month (May). Although, Walmart is not listed on the qualifying retailers, the rebate works if you buy from them. I have done it many times.

Right, I always buy it from Wally World too and have never had a problem getting the rebates.

I'm almost 63 years old and I've built in excess of 100 auto engines of various sizes and configurations. I have NEVER found shavings in any oil change from an engine that I have built. This is due to poor cleaning of the engine before assembly. The most I have found is light metal dust on the magnetic drain plug from the rings seating, and I cut the can type oil filters open to look for metal. This is poor block prep on the part of Toyota or whoever builds their engines for them.

All mass produced engines will have metals present following break-in. While substantially reduced from days past, it is a product of large scale manufacturing and assembly.

I work as a Laboratory Engineer for one of the largest domestic automotive companies in the country. On any given day, we have 100+ engines running tests. Some are one-off, hand built advanced engines while many are within 3 years general production. Every single one has a break in procedure which is immediately followed by an oil change. Guess what, they all have metals present in the oil and filter media.
