Hahaha I don’t think you’re firing on all cylinders if you didn’t want an MP5 and M9 after watching Die Hard.

What ever you do decide, one piece of advice I appreciated from someone is... "Don't go buy some crazy expensive gun with all the bells and whistles. If they day ever comes you actually use that gun for it's intended purpose it will be lost in the justice system for sometime as evidence." Good luck with the search though and what ever you buy. Fingers crossed you'll never need to use it but nice to have it if you do, especially in these crazy times.

Bought a Walther PPQ M2 9mm.... I love it. Thanks everyone I shot over ten pistols and ergonomics felt perfect in my hand. Oh yeah also bought a Remington 770 30-06.

I can't agree more what you said!

There is no class that I have taken, that talks about what the personal cost is of injuring someone or possibly taking a life. You might be right legally or ethically, but the moral cost to you, is your own.

The cost of your defense also goes well beyond the court room in these days of social bullying ... eh, I mean social media. You can legally defend your life, but some anti-whatever group takes it and paints you as the villain. Then you have a new fight that could quit possibly put you in jail or in debt for a very long time. Talk about a life changing moment.

On to the equipment. Glock 19 is huge for carrying all day, I wouldn't recommend that unless you are a very large person. Think smaller and comfort. The S&W Shield, Glock 26 or 43, Sig 238 are popular. Most importantly make sure you can hit your intended target with it. Test drive them and see what's comfortable.

Best of luck and train to stay out of the gun fight.

I think if everyone who thought they wanted a Glock-19 shot a PPQ, 90%+ would buy the Walther. It's significantly better, not to mention $100 cheaper than the Glock.

    Great choice!

My 1st pistol was a HK VP9. That was after shooting ever pistol on display at the range.
