I would drive it a little more. My uneducated guess is, you have air in the system, and since it’s basically a hydraulic system with the torque converter that relies on fluid to shift gears, you simply have air bubbles in the system that is effecting the shifting. I bet once the air works itself out, it will be fine.

Even with the drain plug out, there is still fluid in the system, I want to say it’s like 10qt or something crazy. Unless you’d been working at getting it completely empty.

There is a chart online somewhere that talks about how increase of temperature decreases transmission fluid life. I would not think you damaged much if anything.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
If the motor and tranny were cold, and she truly only moved it 30 feet, I would say any damage is minimal to none. As has been mentioned: get it back to its correct fluid level and scan and clear codes.

Here’s where I’m at... I performed a full flush per mountain lion thread. I bought a scanner and these are two the codes it’s throwing.

have you disconnected the battery? may help that. Since its electrical, may be helpful to do a reset

So I took it for a about a 10 mile or so spin. The first mile seemed fine but I was never over 25, then I got it up to about 45 I could feel it shifting. When I came to a stop it down shifted hard. Took off again and it shifted fine. I got up to 70 and it never shifted into the OD. The hard down shifting went away completely but still no OD.

Should I drive it some more and hope it clears itself out? Or is my best bet to throw in the towel and take it to a tranny shop? I want to drop the pan now and test those solenoids but I’m honestly over smelling tranny fluid for a bit haha.
