Dropped the pan and I have some metal dust. What do y’all think by looking at the pics?

Damn, and that’s after you drained and refilled. Almost like it just happened.

Those specks of alluminum laying in the pan are enough to jam a spool valve in the valve body .

Do your resistance tests on your pending codes to see why the computer in your truck keeps setting the codes but at this point , I think you have a stuck valve which would require carefully dropping the valve body .
Send me a pm . I have some books for you

Isn't the hood being open a telltale sign that the truck was being worked on? Not directed at you OP. Just in general.

He didn’t say anything about the hood. The transmission pan isn’t under the hood.

Smartypants. Most people have the hood open whenever they work on the truck above or below.

As we have all learned, if you don’t open the hood, the wife may drive off.

I never opened the hood when I did a pan dump. Mater of fact, I never thought about opening it.

Sorry all, I’ve meant to post an update several times.

My issue was my pressure control solenoid. I swapped it out and she’s been shifting perfectly.

Wow. I’m having the same exact issues after my transmission line to the cooler popped off while driving back from a trip. Lost a lot of fluid.
Drained the rest and did the fill procedure. Have the same p0746 code and shifting issues.

Lots of good info in here.
