Howdy! Brand new to this forum though I have driven Toyotas for quite some time now. I used to drive a 2000 tundra but upgraded to a 2012 Black Trd-off rd. tacoma two years ago. I love Toyota trucks and love my Tacoma!!! I decided I should post my first thread as I purchased new shoes for my Tacoma today! Here are some before and after pics!

I plan to stick some Bilstein 5100 height adjustable shocks to level out the front end. I have read on here people debating whether these shocks are compatible with TRD- off rd. springs that are "progressive". I am new to all this stuff so any help or thoughts would be appreciated. From what I have read, these shocks should be able to go right on my tacoma set at a .85 to level the front end?? Thanks for any help and I am excited to join the tacoma forum!!! I have many upgrades in mind for the future :)

Nice truck, black is where its at, and nice choice in tires. My duratracs are about to hit 60,000 miles!

    Just washed the truck!

Any input on using height adjustable Bilstein 5100 front shocks to level the front out??

Very nice. I plan to put 5100's on my TRD OR, and set them to 0.85 just to raise the front a bit. But I'll probably wait to do that when the Rugged Fails are worn. I'll do 265/75/16 tires and the billys at the same time.

And yes, you can put 5100s on your stock springs. A lot of people will put on Eibach or OME springs to lift the truck with a spring, rather than preloading a shock. It will make for a smoother ride. But for just 0.85", I'm planning on using the stock coils.

Thanks for the input, I plan to put the adjustable shocks on set at .85 with the stock springs after Labor Day. Pics soon to come!
