I got my 2013 Tacoma DCLB 4X4 on Monday. I've been out deer hunting since early this morning. I really love this truck. I have a couple of questions.

First - I notice when I'm coasting down a step decline, if I start to brake, it automatically downshifts for me. Very cool. What are the driving limits for this to work? i.e. - what speed range, angle of decline, time, etc.

Second - What's up with the front mudflaps!?!? Every time I go through a moderate pothole or rut, they bottom out! Is there a solution for this? I don't want to get rid of them, but this sucks every time I go through some rough patch.

    Thanks.

First- not sure what the range is but it's pretty sensitive...

Second - get yourself a 3" lift :) ...or you'll have to trim them up or buy aftermarket.

    Welcome!

I've been in Washington and Oregon for the last 13 days. My Taco has been at the airport the whole time. For the past 5 days the overnight lows have been in the negative teens or colder. When I got to my truck it started right up first try. Really a nice feeling not having to worry about it. I'm very happy with this truck!

There are also a few good mudflap threads on the forum that include some other options. I got the Rockblokz, and I have been really happy with them. They are much more flexible, a bit shorter, and a good bit wider. They just bolt on, too.
