Finally got snow in SE Virginia for the first time in a few years. Spent a few hours driving around yesterday, and have no complaints with how the vehicle handled. Quickly found that downshifting did a much better job of stopping at icy intersections than the ABS brakes did, but can't blame the vehicle for that. At one intersection, there was a Ford pickup stopped ahead of me. He had a very difficult time starting, and was fishtailing quite a bit well past the intersection. I gave him some room, then slowly accelerated and had no problem maintaining a pretty straight line. There was one spot where I was stopped on an icy incline at a RR Crossing. Had a difficult time getting traction, so I just kicked on the rear locker and walked across the tracks with no problem. I'm sure I could have done it without the locker, but didn't feel like messing around since any loss of control would not have been pretty.
