Hello there.. I'm Eric. I've from North GA and I'm an Alch.. oh, wrong group. I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm more of a researcher and lurker on forums. They're great sources of information. I like to talk a lot, but some times it just transfers into ramblings.. you'll see.. lol

I purchased my first Tacoma last month and didn't realize how many different things and mods you can do to these things. I always loved them because they always seemed like a capable 4x4 truck. I feel like I'm ready to find out how capable it is, but I'm scared because it's still too new to me. I've owned Jeep's (JK's) in the past and didn't care for them as daily vehicles due to so much interstate driving. Now I live closer to work, so a truck was in my sights.

I picked (because it was the only one the dealer had that was TRD Off-road) a 2021 Barcelona Red TRD Off-Road 4x4 XP edition. I wanted a long bed, too. So I lucked up when they pointed out this truck. I kind of wanted the Army Green or Concrete colors, but I didn't feel like waiting for one to be delivered.

Mods so far.. and what's coming up:

I installed a set of Baja Designs amber fogs on it.
The basic AVS bug deflector and got the windows tinted to match the back.

Coming up is a set of the factory LED headlights (they're being shipped now) and a Gator tri-fold bed cover.

Later on down the road I'd like to look into a 3-4"ish lift and put some 33's on it. Nothing too crazy or wild.

Looking forward to checking out others builds and getting ideas and stuff.

Thank you, both! I'm still super excited about this truck. It gets several looks from me when I walk in/out of places. It's been a while since I've had a car/truck do that to me.

    Thank you all!

    Haha long bed team. :bananadance:

I finally went down some forestry trails near Summerville, Ga. They weren't the most scenic, either, but it was still fun. Had a guy on a dirt bike riding behind me. I pulled over and tried to wave him past and he pulled up to my window to tell me thanks for catching all of the spider webs, that he didn't mind riding behind me.. just for that. I have so many spider webs on the front of my truck now, that I probably wouldn't have noticed if he didn't say that.

Anyways.. rambling.. Here's an after pic. Not too dirty, but just enough dirt. I already went to town with a pressure washer.. then had to clean the drive way.. lol Next time I'll wash it in the grass.

The red looks good with some dirt. You did get lucky finding that red + long bed. My local Toyota dealer has zero Tacoma’s on the lot. They told me they had one due to arrive in a week so I put down a deposit right away.
