Just found an 08 with 16,000 miles. You read that right. Double cab short bed, and its a manual!! (is that what dcsb stands for? I’m learning the tacoma acronyms)

Will be looking to do a moderate overland build. I won’t be doing legitimate wheeling as I like to take my wife and baby on all our outdoor trips, but I want the ability to tackle some fun terrain and find some neat spots to camp. Let me know what your musts are for upgrades.

    Thanks everyone!!

Nada. I’ve got some of the third gen wheels that I’ll probably keep for now, but otherwise bone stock.
I’m thinking of a cbi rack with an rtt (wife and kiddo convenience). Also thinking that with those two, some changes to suspension may be important for managing weight.
It’s also been on my mind to figure out what to do with my dogs. I can’t/won’t put them in the cab with a car seat so I’m thinking crates in back, or maybe a soft top? I’m very open to suggestions if you guys want to share. Just trying to figure a path and then head that way.
