I have been pretty happy with RXT pack in that I got the lift I wanted but there seems to be a lot of complaints on this forum about them - there is a whole thread complaining about the squeaks. I haven't had the squeaking yet - and I have had them on since march and almost 15K miles. On the other hand my bed is empty 99% of the time so no extra weight on them either.

Congrats on your truck purchase! No ideas from me it sounds like you have pretty much decided what you want to undo.

NICE! Wheels and tires are looking good. Yeah, I agree take off the block. I mean really you are good2go as is the 5100s though will definitely improve the ride. You have really thought this out - get a little lift up front and then if you decide you want a little more lift in rear you have several options - like me you are not putting a real weight back there so you won't have to do spend much to get a little bit of lift.

Spent the day putting the 5100’s on the front.. My advice is never buy the 5100’s as an unassembled set. Spend the extra money to have them pre assembled. What a nightmare install that was.

    Update & FYI :
I re-adjusted the front to 1.5" (was 1") and I am running 275/70/r17 BFG KO3's. And I have the SCS Ray 10's with -12mm offset. For daily driving this setup is good however, if I hit a bump while turning I still get slight rubbing on the front bumper. I haven't cut anything to get these to fit but I can't run mud flaps in the front.
Still running the lift block in the rear for now, I don't like it but it's not hurting anything at the moment.
If I were to do this over again I would go with a 0mm offset wheel, I think that would help to eliminate all the rubbing.
Next thing I want to do is get the Bak Revolver X2 Tonneau Cover.

My only suggestion would be to use 265's. But that ship has sailed, 275's will rub on the fender and UCA on anything over 265 (some 265 also rub) especially at -12mm offset.

I haven't had any rubbing on the UCA's with the 275's just on the fender. The 305's were definitely a problem though

Good advice. That's why I got mine preassembled. Still have not put them on yet. But this weekend they WILL get installed. So fun working outside in Spokane area in the winter.

@TacoRayPNW do you have a tune on your truck? Any tune is better than stock especially with large tires. Let me know if you would like to drive my truck and see what a difference it makes.

I don't have a tune but I have been driving with the ECT on lately though and it helps slightly. I have considered a tune or pedal commander, I am just not there yet

OTT tune IMHO is a better option than the pedal commander route - a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. You can probably push the fender liner forward a bit which is not to hard to do - plenty of Youtube videos - shouldn't have to cut plastic but even that is relatively easy. Anyway would love to see some pics.

Yotawerx is a great option too.

pedal commander is junk, I got OTT mild/medium for $450. Best money I ever spent. Master Yoda from NJ is great to deal with. It’s CARB compliant too, which is great.

Did the same here in NC mild/medium as well for $450 - I would recommend that anyone buying a 16-23 Taco OTT be the first mod they get - I have no idea how stock 4th gens are tuned so can't say.

So how does OTT tune work? I live in WA so I can't go to NJ lol is there a company that I can buy the tune from and just plug it in at home? Or do I need to take it in to a shop somewhere? My only goal with a tune would be better throttle response and improved mpg's

You are not going to tune your way in to better MPG's. I have the KDmax tune, and while I like it, I understood a tune isn't going to improve the negative impact a lift and larger tires had on the MPGs.

I understand that a tune wont turn this thing into a Prius by any means lol my thinking is that with less gear hunting and a tonneau cover I'm hoping to average 19 to 20mpgs on the highway. Right now I am in between 16 and 17 on average.

Not sure that's doable around town - I have 33s nothing in the bed no tonneau cover or anything. Typically getting 16-17 around town but have hit 19-20 range on some longer trips on the Interstate. Not sure where the OTT tune factors in but I will say I do have a lead foot but on long trips the variable cruise control probably helps and I stay at the speed limit. I love the OTT tune - no gear hunting and the truck just "feels" better but I honestly did not notice a significant difference MPG wise.
