    Hello, I am, J.P.! I'm a Merchant Mariner that goes to sea for a living supporting our great Navy I' m also a Naval Reserve Officer. Unfortunately that means I' m rarely home, but when I am I like to get my hands dirty and play hard.

    I' m wanting to tap my tacoma's true potential. Bought it with the dream of getting a rooftop tent and off roading my way to that sweet camping spot.That being said I have zero off roading experience and have never done any mods to a truck. My only relevant experience is camping, hiking, survivability etc.

    I've done tons of research on off roading for beginners and in all honesty I've kinda been in an analysis paralysis. So I'm finally gonna take a leap of faith and just go out there and do it. I'm planning on driving the Bolivar Peninsula beach trail first. So far i got an ARB ez deflater, and a portable air compressor. I have the deadman earth anchor, and Smittybilt X20 10k on the way. Thinking about getting the C4 low-pro winch bumper but still undecided. Soooo that's where I'm at in this new adventure. Appreciate any advice or comments. TIA!
