Hey guys, been lurking around here for a little bit till I finally took the plunge on a new truck. Im from the big island of Hawaii. After some shopping I picked up '14 Barcelona Red DCLB TRD sport. I am a Jeep pickup guy, having an '86 Comanche on 33's, but that will now be my hardcore trail/camping rig. Hardcore as in anywhere I know the bushes and trees can screw up paint! Hopefully the truck will be in my hands by next Tuesday, and then the mods can begin!

    Nice. Liking that color.
Speaking of jeep pickups, how bout the prices of the cj-8 scramblers?
Love to get a hold of one of them for a project!

Nice looking truck man  I initially didn't like the Barcelona red but when I saw it in the sun light it made me realize one thing..... Toyota has too many good looking colors.

    Thanks.

The CJ8's are kinda harder to find, at least over here in Hawaii. Ive seen like 3 on the road, a lot of CJ5s and 7s in peoples garages though. Im sure a bare bones, missing parts, and needing quite a bit of restoration can be found for a couple grand or less, Im sure if you find one in good shape its going to be more. But it all depends what you find and are willing to do I think, my dad picked up a '78 FJ40 for $500....needless to say its been a very slow going project because of the body work needed thanks to Hawaii's rust, and time needed to cut, make and weld in new pieces. Im not sure if they throw salt on the roads in SC, but if they do Im sure the rust is hideous there too.

Thanks, they do have some really good looking colors out! I saw the Spruce Micha in sunlight and I was blown away at the metallic flake inside! It was over cast and rainy when I first saw my truck haha!

Lol. Cj-8 "projects" around here go for $6k. Same as fj-40's.
Plenty of 5's and 7's though.

That is outrageous, that price they should be turn key! Maybe different style up there, Ive seen a few FJ40s down here on craigslist ranging from $1500 to 20K, all running and driving. CJ8s never pop up, thats something you find in an old timers garage.
