First Tacoma

Hey Everybody,

Name is Dave Gomez, Veteran of the Army, maintenance worker at folsom Dam, Folsom CA. I have a jettawagon TDI for commuting to work daily. As many of u know that there was a huge scandal with VW and their TDI''s emissions. Even though I'm leasing my car I can still turn it in and forfeit the contract.

My brother bought this 2005 Burgundy Double Cab, Tacoma brand new. My brother and step father bother babied this vehicle very much. 223, 000 miles later. Its running like a champ with a few small glitches.

Third gear is sticking when going right in. If I gently push it. It will go in with out grinding. Yesterday I changed the trans oil and found a few metal shavings and put that redline oil in. It didn't really help so I'm going to try and add another additive to it.

AC works on high setting only, and the parking brake doesn't hold anymore. These last two issues seem tiny compared to the trans issue.

$7000 is what my brother is charging me for the truck.
