Going to either Moab or Sand Hollow in june. This will be my first time camping more than 2 hours away from home. Any ideas on essentials or things i should bring that you don;t normally think of. Any help is appreciated.

I can't get anybody to reply to my thread here either buddy. Sorry. But I can drop a few tips on you having camped in the desert.
Shade structure. Find one that suits your trip it and pack it with you. Bring extra fuel if you can. Same goes for water. Also, it's been mentioned in other threads but you should pack a hike out bag. A bag containing enough things to cover, feed, and drink from for two days should your truck break down and you have to hoof it out back to a road or until you can flag someone down.
    Have fun! Good luck!
