Does my tank have to be almost empty or can I use it with like an 1/8th or 1/4 tank?

Yes, as long as you fill it back up, all the way. It works alot better through your vaccum system though

What are you trying to achieve with using seafoam?

Putting it in the fuel tank will just "help" clean injectors.

Putting it through the vacuum lines will "help" with carbon on the valves..
using shell or chevron with techron will do both and its not snake oil

I soaked an old crusty spark plug from my Chevy in sea foam for a week and did not notice any difference. I should have done a write up about it to save some people money.

+1. I've never used it but many people have said it helps.

I don't think they claim to be a pure solvent. A better test would've been taking a pic of the crusty spark plug, put it back in the Chevy, then run seafoam in a vacuum line as directed. Then, you could see if it has any validity or not.

Seafoam is not the magic "tune-up in a can" the internet makes it to be. It is not going to clean your valves, it's not going to "fix" anything. It may help clean out injectors or carb passages if they aren't too bad (have successfully done this on a weedeater that sat too long)
