Uh oh... is Mt Evans actually a little higher? Might have to look into that one: https://www.colorado.com/articles/colorado-scenic-byway-mount-evans.

I'm headed that same direction in a couple months. Are there any "Passes" that we need to access areas such as BLM land...? Escalante? Obviously, parks do. I haven't been there in several years.

Shit I found on CL or EBAY that I could screw on.
Yup, do some checking before you go. I thought I heard this on the radio some time ago. Can't get all the way up Pikes Peak. :(
    https://www.pikes-peak.com/summit-house/
The Mt Evans Byway is not open. They usually only open Memorial Day to Labor Day. They did not open it at all in 2020 due to the 'rona.
Don't know about Moab. Sounds fun!

I don't know if you're soliciting ideas, but I've done a few beginner routes in my 2001 Chevy S-10 ZR2 a few years back:
    • Chicken Corners to the Anticline Overlook is a pretty rad drive. Definitely a "green" line.
    • Gemini Bridges bridges might have a decent amount of trail users, but it's a fun drive to an interesting spot.
    • Eye of the Whale arch in Arches NP park was cool, but the real off road begins if you backtrack a tiny bit and take the BLM road out of the park. There were a few steps, but you should have zero issues with it. It goes passed a few unmarked dino tracks too!

Funny. I lived in the campground (before it was an official campground) on Potash Rd for 6 months. Long time ago
