    Greetings everyone!

I have driven Chevy and Ford p/ups since 1986 and bought my 1st import as I've been tired of fixing my American trucks.

I bought a 2012 Toyota Tacoma SR5 access cab 4 cyl/4 spd auto. I've had it 2 weeks now and put 900 miles (mostly highway) and have 23 MPG thus far.

While the 4 cyl is slower than my former trucks with the larger engines I'm thinking reliability and gas economy will be my best advantages with my new Tacoma.

I'll be curious this winter how well the limited slip differential works when the traction gets sloppy in Ohio!

BTW - I'm using my moniker from my audio forums as DIY high-end audio is my hobby!

    Regards, Ron

I also drove all kinds of full size 4wheel drive pickups. I started driving Toyota Tundras where I work at the Toyota Rav4 plant in Ontario. While driving the Tundras and watching the assembly of the Toyota vehicles I was hooked on Toyota. I knew I was going to buy a TRD Tacoma-finding the right one took a while. Still have a smile on my face every time I take it out.
    Enjoy yours.

I have your exact truck, except mine is white. After driving it for ten months, I am still happy with it. I put some fog lights in, and helper-springs on the back, and plan to drive it another six years!!

    Don,

What has been your avg MPG and have you loaded yours with cargo and driven on steep hilly roads?

I haven't needed to take a load of cargo anywhere yet but I'm not sure how this truck will respond when fully loaded performance and economy wise.

Thanks to all the other responders also!

    Regards, Ron
