    Fronts are very easy, rears not so much.

    If you are going to be a DIYer, get a Haynes repair manual for your particular truck. Only around $20, and will pay for itself with your first repair, not to mention on-going maintenance.

    several things I noticed.

    he didn't say anything about opening the reservoir cap before pushing the pistons back. it helps but not necessary.

    after removing the pins, you can usually get a flat head between the pads and the rotor to pry and push the pistons back in. just don't scratch the rotor.

    but you should really resurface the rotors at least anyways or buy new ones. the old brakes usually don't ware evenly and can leave odd grooves on the rotor surface. Plus, after so many miles, your rotor surface becomes polished and you lose braking efficiency. cutting them or getting new ones will prevent that. you'll need some bungee cord or rope/twine/wire to suspend the calipers while they're not mounted. don't let them hang by the brake hose.

    use lube! brake lube or di-electric grease on metal to metal contacts such as the shims, springs, and pins (not the pad material and rotor) will act as a vibration dampener and help greatly against brake noise from dust.

    also, since you're asking as a first timer.

    when remounting the wheel, you have to make sure the wheel bolts are bolted down in a star pattern AND then torqued to proper specs using a clockwise or counter clockwise pattern. the guy in the video used an air gun. those things tighten a little beyond specs. but is ok to do.

    getting and using a service manual properly will ensure you get the job done right.
