After months of consideration and two days of specifically researching one truck, I somehow found myself the new owner of a 2016 LTD DCLB CAN Taco, 100k miles. This is my first trade-in and an upgrade (I hope) from my 2016 SR5 LB access cab, 105k miles (which I swore I'd never part with...I did it for the dog XD). What I found exciting is the Limited DC + LB, which I was not seeing as available in the US (?!). But, honestly the trim is a side note. I primarily wanted to just find a double cab LB 4WD, a bonus if it was colourful, and this one particular truck fell into my lap almost soon as I started looking. It all happened so fast, I haven't yet fully processed if this was a good choice in spite of my research. I didn't realize it was CAN spec until today, and am casting about for more info on that now. I have 4 days left to decide if I'm keeping it and hoping for any heads up things to check for now that I have it at home. Is gas mileage roughly on par with US models? this one was TX made, and I've done some digging in CAN threads that leads me to believe it might improve w/how I drive compared to the last chucklehead, but still kinda worried cause it sat at 12.5 mpg when I test drove it, and my SR5 (owned from 54-105K miles) was never that bad. And the cab, trim + bed length combo has me wondering IS IT REAL? Is it a unicorn, or a Frankenstein?? Or can I just go ahead and get excited about my new traveling companion?

If before you test drove the truck it sat at idol rpm for an extended period of time (??15-20min??)is why it shows 12.5 would be my guess, fill it up drive a half hour and I imagine you will be 16.5- 18.5...congrats, nice Taco!

Dude the trucks are all identical, other than the speedometer have km/hr on top.

Only diff between SR5 & Limited is JBL, Leather, dual zone hvac & some chrome.

Has the offroad wheels on it which might be a Canada thing. US Limiteds have 18" chrome/black wheels

Nah, Can Limited had the same 18" wheels as US models.
I don't remember DCLB Limited back in the day..

I looked for quite some time for a DCLB OR that wasn't tan or silver... Wound up with a black one which I like. Like you I kind of jumped on it immediately and definitely had some regret parting with my 4Runner initially. Especially as it was heavily modded and I had it set up exactly as I wanted. But I needed a truck again. Same as you the access cab would be totally fine were it not for the dog. And I had 2 second gens with the 5' bed and it was kind of useless as a homeowner. It's definitely LONG for a Tacoma so parking it and turning circle is a little different but overall I love it. If there's no issues with it I would enjoy and move forward with life.
