It was pretty windy when we were heading out of town so it pushed the truck and trailer around a bit....coming home was easy towing. Trailer weighs 4,400lbs unloaded with full propane. We only had a couple hundred pounds of gear and use a weight distribution hitch. Towed from 4,500ft up over a 7,000ft pass (from Reno over Donner Pass) and maintained 60mph.

Damn, I got really excited at the title and thought I'd be seeing a twin-turbo Tacoma.

Did you tow in 4th gear? What kind of mileage did you get for the trip?

We got just under 10mpg, even going over the pass.

Going up any hills I put it in 4th...I was in D on the flats and descents and it seemed fine.

How do you feel about towing 1000 lbs more than the towing capacity for the Tacoma? I'm not sure of the adverse affects but I'm sure there are some? Also, 10 mpg, nice

    It's a Jayco x213

I was more than 1,000lbs under the towing capacity....Towing capacity is 6,500 on my truck. Towed it pretty well. Not going to win any land speed records but it'll pull 70mph in the flats and 55-60mph up the grades on hwy 80 in the sierras.

Wow, never mind. A quick Google search showed 3500 lbs, thanks Google. I see the ebrochure says 6500, my fault. Good to hear it towed so well.
