I am going to be 16 in Jan. and trying to figure out what i should do. I have saved up 7000 and parents have agreed to pay however much i do so i can get anything 14000 and under. I am looking to slowly built it up into a prerunner. I live in arizona so there are tons of trails. I am looking to get the extended cab but in the work truck style. The body of it is disgusting so i thought i could put fibreglass fenders on it, lift it, put new rims/tires on, and spacers to widen the stance until i can afford long travel. What do you guys think of this idea?

    your plan sounds expensive

the one good thing here is you can go through thousands of threads

to get many idea's for your truck.

your question is quite general for not having the specifics of the truck.

research will be your best advice untill you actually have the truck

in which more specific questions can be answered

good luck, wish i had that deal when i was 16

You don't have an 06? Your should look for a first gen with some work already done to it LT ect save yourself some money :D

honestly hate the looks of the 1st gen tacoma's. I know this isnt going to happen fast or anything, probably going to take at least 3-4 years to finish but i am just trying to figure out the cheapest route possible.

The 2nd gen tacomas are really expensive! Im getting this as my first truck so i dont want to do it wrong. I think i might just have to settle with an 05 with like 50,000 on it and leave it stock till i can afford anything.
