Just back from the cabin. Temperatures down to -25C (-13F) and the Taco PRO did great. I continue to love this truck more and more.

Awesome! Looking forward to my first winter in my new pro as well! I shouldn’t have to worry about making it to wherever I want to go. Can’t wait to do some snow donuts!
It is interesting to me that your amber lights are lit on the parking light setting. Is that a Canadian thing, or a mod?

Looks good!!! Do you have the stock tires? If so, any issues with them in the snow?

Yes, stock tires, and they did great in the snow. I felt very comfortable driving on the compact snow. The tires on the PRO are different from the tires on the TRD Sport and OffRoad I believe.

The tires should be Goodyear Wrangler Adventure W/Kevlar in 265/70/16, same tire as the Off Road.

I ran them for a year, and I'd have to agree.. not bad in snow.

Kevlar tires correct? Similar to ORs

Edit: ^^ beat me to it. Also, are you guys running in 2WD and just loading some sand bags in the back? I'm thinking about doing that to keep from having to switch from 2wd and 4wd...

To be honest, I've never run any extra weight in the bed (although I probably should). If I find myself on snow covered roads or deep slush, I'll be in 4wd. For those days where the road is mostly just wet with snowy patches I'll be in 2wd until conditions warrant the change to 4wd. Don't forget Auto LSD, I'll often just use that to get going in messy parking lots etc.

Now, I did switch to DuraTracs so I've got noticeably better grip in most situations than on the stock tires. Also, the manual transmission allows me pretty precise control of the power getting to the ground.

We've had snow and ice on the roads around here for a couple of weeks now. My stock OR tires work quite well.

I put 4 - Home Depot 24" x 24" Patio slabs in the back. Low profile, weight about 60lbs each. Worked great. Also, I will run in 4WD up to 80kmh (50 mph) on compact snow. If I can run faster than that, then I am in 2WD.

Blizzaks and 4 sandbags in the back, once the canopy is on the sandbags can come out.
It's been compact ice here for a week, 2wd unless the traction control/stability is coming on all the time then switch to 4wd.
