FWP Fab Locked Longbed Project & Rubbishery

Yeah i am pretty sure i will be installing mine this weekend, if you want to come over and be an extra set of hands and drink beer you are more than welcome to. New lights and brackets will probably be here next week though.. That will be easy to do though since its already in the engine bay and the wires will be short.

Trying to figure out a way to get lights on the sides of my truck. I guess i will have to use a couple of my cb antenna/pod light tabs.... I like the S2's

 

What rock lights did you go with?

 

@Silverspool where did you get your connectors for your speaker pods?

 

I got a set of Rigid Industries rock lights for free, they are white.

Fronts have been done, just need to do the rears and plan on doing that either this weekend or next weekend.

Need to get one more though so I can mount it where the spare tire was so it will light up the new axle when it comes in...

 

Amazon, was a 10 pack in case i messed up, called tamiya connectors, used on hobby battery packs.

 

I am sick and tired of hearing you say you got stuff for free! From now on when you get free stuff, just tell me that you over paid for it and i will know that you got it for free. But at least when i read it i will feel better.

I guess technically not free. I had to drive to Dallas and give someone my stock Aluminum crash bar... and then clean them up really bad... and have also been left on a long time so some of the clear lenses on them has melted some on a few, but still all functional.

 

I would need 2 male/female. But it depends on what gauge the wire leads are.... And it would be for the lights on the rack, however i am not sure how i am going to get side facing lights with bed bars. I think i am going to get a cheap of $20 Amazon pods for side facing lights for the time being. Use my tabs i just came out with to mount them...

 

I still have my stock front bumper and crash bar. I need to sell them, although they did come in handy when i was waiting for my pelfrey bumper.

 

I can spare two. Im using 14ga with them now. Im sure theyll work for 18-14, 12 might be the limit

Finally got around to installing the switch-pro 8100 this weekend...

Base mounted, i have wires ran for my ditch lights that are on the way. Just need to install the brackets and lights, then attach power!

Need to run some power to the bed for my side shooters that i got to shine out to the sides.

Run the blue wire inside to your fuse panel, attach the supplied add-a-fuse and insert into the IGN fuse....

I have several Add-a-fuses installed so i am pointing to its location...


The Yellow wire goes to the green wire on your headlight marker bulb...

I backed out a bit for a better perspective...


I knew i had the ditch lights on the way, sundays trip to the TTHA Expo got me the side shooters so i need to add that label...

Also thinking about a power inverter now...

I installed the switches into the overhead compartment in the rear sunglasses compartment. @dwaltdtx gave me the idea.

I had to trip a bit so that it would fit, and drill a hole in the back for the wire harness, but i can get my spare set of glasses in there with no problem.

I will say that some sunglasses will have a hard time fitting in there, my oakley haywires fit in there and touch the switches when the compartment is closed but it doesnt turn on anything so i am cool with it.

Edit~ I see what you are talking about now, and that is an eagle and you can see its wings, just a really bad light reflection! hahahahahaha

 

Got my courtesy lights and bed lights re installed... Tapped into the dome. Still need to re install my under hood lights.

 

Which wire did you tap into for the dome light?
