I never had Icons, I had a full OME kit. Switched to Kings after riding in a buddy's truck who had them and couldn't get my mind off of them. Are they better than Icons? I don't think so, but I like the feel they have on and especially offroad

Between Icon, Fox, ADS, King.... I know each has their differences, but in all honesty King has the best colors:anonymous:

I bet that was quite different! I've never ridden in a truck with blocks, I imagine it's a rough ride

Are you happy that you got 4.88's? How does that ride since you only have 33's

I am very happy with them, even with the 33s. I'm at about 2600 RPMs going 65, and the pickup is much better. I'm still breaking them in, so I haven't stomped on it yet, but I can tell how much easier it is for the truck to go uphill on the freeway without downshifting violently. I'm looking forward to the jump to 35s, I think it will even it out perfectly.

I noticed a slight whine/howl coming from somewhere on my driveline while at around 60 mph, when decelerating. Anyone experience this after doing a regear and ARB install? I shot an email to Chase @ECGS , will hopefully have an idea of what's causing it soon...

Not sure what it sounds like, but make sure it isn't something totally unrelated. I was freaking out about a squeak one time. Driving me nuts. I greased everything, didn't help. It was my tent whistling...

Found your build looking for other people running 4.88s on 285s. Your truck is awesome! I'm ordering my gears (4.88) tomorrow :D. I'm a manual trans so really looking forward to a bit better crawling performance. My sister lives in sb, had some fun on west camino cielo last time I was there. I'd love to set up a quick wheeling trip with you guys. Plan to be that way around August...

I'm in. I had a blast up west yesterday... Haha. Good news is a certain tree branch isn't there anymore!

Thanks Bret! You're gonna be :turtleride: big time if you stay with 285s in 4lo! I'm planning to jump to 35s in a couple weeks, but with 285s it's not bad at all. I'm at 2500 RPMs at 65, and my MPG is a bit better around town (not on the freeway). I'm always up for a run up West Camino, let us know when you're coming down

I'm pretty down. I think Lindsay has tests next week though so she may not be down. Maybe just one night she'd tag along. You get the tent?

Sounds like a go! We should hit Fig Mtn. brewery for a beer, fill up a couple growlers, then head up the mountain and camp at Nira for the night. Zaca ridge road is open, and it's pretty fun with a killer view at the top
