    Either sauteed it like a pan fry or baked it, had no grill back then

    It seems like bass fishing has slowed down a bit. If the weather stays like this it should probably pick up again in late October when it starts to cool down.

    Did a little flood tide redfishing tonight.

    Took only a flyrod and 1 fly.

    landed 2 in about an hour. walked out the front door. across the street and was fishing. damn I love my life :D

    I went last year in December but fished crooked creek and caught a mess of rainbows along with a 6lb brown. Caught some other browns around that size as well.

    Awesome, that's what I was looking for. I haven't decided where I'm going to go. Either down towards Rim Shoals, or maybe just stay up somewhere close to Bull Shoals.

    Anywhere in that area is producing right now. My uncle lives there and he has been giving me updates of his catches. I make at least 2 trips a year there and always have success. Are you planning on hiring a guide?

    I have a buddy that went out there 3 or 4 years in a row and brought back a 10 lb brown, and have another couple buddies that are on a trip out there right now and keep sending me pics. I hate them.

    I don't plan on hiring a guide. I'm going to look at a little jon boat and a motor this weekend if I get a chance, and I'll be taking it out there. I know it can get a little dangerous when they're running a lot of generators, but I think I'll be OK. The guys that are out there right now are throwing a lot of plugs and jerk baits. They've sent me several pics of 6-8 lb browns.
