Seems like a good balance between kayak and boat. Any idea how much they cost?

Yea I've heard it can be a little rough if you're not used to it out there. I think I'll be OK. We'll see, anyway.

I'm not a big live bait guy. I'd much rather catch everything on spinners/plugs/jerkbaits.

I hear you. I'm a big artificial guy too. I used artificial for the rainbows but then when the current changes and its time for the browns, they are extremely picky with the presentation so live is easier (for me) when drifting down river.

Went fishing to a couple of local lakes with my brother. We caught 3 bass, one was a keeper. Not bad since it was 60# outside and drizzling.

Installed a kit on my kayak today called SeaDek.

It is a peel and stick foam kit that is designed specifically for my yak. Basically it is for comfort and noise reduction.

The foam doesnt get as hot as the black plastic. I can set pliers and lures and such down on the foam now and not the plastic making banging noises.

Also it is more comfortable on my heels while paddling and more comfortable on my feet while standing.

Pretty happy with how it came out!

Also I took the extra piece of foam that came from the middle of that center hatch..and cut it to fit in my cup holder :D

Any Pike fisherman out there?? Like I mentioned, my buddies and I are going up north for a day fishing trip and was looking for any tips.

Location: Lake Mary, Flagstaff AZ (fishing from shore)
Targeted Species: Pike and Walleye (mainly Pike)
Water/Weather Conditions: Breezy, mostly sunny weather with temps in the high 60s to low 70s. Water is very muddy and has rocks for bottom structure.

    My Idea:
Fish flashy baits such as #4 and #5 Mepps with a firetiger blade and brown dressing and silver blade with white dressing. Also thought about throwing around some Rapala Husky Jerks in a size 14, also in firetiger and a flashy shad color...sound good? Any other tips are appreciated.

The steelies are coming back strong on the Klamath after being decimated years ago. Reports are coming in of an epic salmon run this year so hopefully the steelhead run will be just as good.
