Found this guy today in the creek down at the edge of my property , about a 6 lb coho , which means the fry that were released a couple years ago had some success in returning

I walked up the creek but couldn't find any other sign of fish , I'll be keeping an eye on the creek for the next few days

That truck would be awesome, I like alot of the ideas on that truck the bed was really cool. I like the roof rack rod holder as well. I would definitely rock that thing out.

I haven't found anything on here after some searching, so I hope I am not posting on something that has already been discussed. Does anyone here make their own jigs? I recently got into it this during the winter months. I am trying to make enough to get me through the season next year.

Just took a trip there in mid december. River was reallllllly low but ended up with a few browns all in the 3lb range. My uncle has a guide lined up for the beginning of February so I'll let you know how it goes.

Never fished bull shoals but did fish table rock last summer. Did good on the rock walls. Started out with top water and went deeper as the day went on. Mid day used deep cranks. Strike King XD 6. Stayed at Falls Village i think. It was in Branson. Put in at Table Rock State Park. It was free to launch. Another place to put in was out past West Branson. Not sure of the name of the road. They have a free ramp were the road crosses the lake. This is on the north part of the lake. Did better in this area. If you fish Table Rock hope this helps. Good Luck

That would be awesome. I was gonna do a guided trip out there the first time I go, but I don't think I'm goin to now. I'm gonna be spin fishing. Mainly throwing jerk baits and swim baits I think. I've got a couple buddies that have been out there, one brought back a 31" 10 lb brown to put on the wall. The others are always sendin me pics of 25"+ fish.

I know one thing, I'm gonna have to upgrade my gear a little before I head out there (End of March, beginning of April). All I've got right now are ulralite poles and reels. Don't need much more than that around here. And it makes it fun when you do hook up on a 20"+ fish.

Not sure if I'll fish Table Rock or not. Probably just stay down on the White River. But I'll keep that in mind, for sure. Thanks!

The big trout are definitely in there. My biggest was late February this year which was 7lbs. Wish I could give you some tips but we just use a guide as I live in Florida and know NOTHING about river fishing. Slowly learning though. We would have used some small jerk baits but with the water being so low, we only used live minnows to cast into the pockets. Still, very fun on 4lb test. Hopefully the water will be up around normal levels and the drought will be over. They had gotten some snowfall since I've been there and my uncle said it raised the level slightly.

Yea, I think the water level is SUPPOSED to closer to normal by then. I dunno...we'll see. I just hope they aren't using all 8 generators when we plan on goin. I always use artificial. I'm in Blue Ridge, GA (Trout Capital of Georgia), so I know quite a bit about river fishing (I've got SEVERAL pics in my gallery) and I use Rapalas a lot up here in the Toccoa. From what all my friends say, they're using huge jerkbaits and swimbaits while they're out there. I'm gonna get a bigger rod/reel and probably use some 6 lb test (that's what I use here, anyway). One of my friends says he uses braid with flurocarbon leader...not sure that's all that necessary as long as you know how to work the fish in.

Hit Pyramid lake in Southern California the other day. Majority of the day sucked. We watched DFW stock with some nice size rainbows and the day turned around. Limited on 1.5# to 2.0# Rainbow Trout and started tossing big swimbaits in hopes the striped bass would be around. Sure enough we got one 7# striper right at close.

I put my money down on a Canadian fly-in trip next summer. One of the outfitters said people bring salted minnows. Has anyone had experience with them?
