You guys suck. It hasn't been cold enough to get a good freeze to go ice fishing, but is too cold to do anything other than ice fishing:(

I should rephrase that. The ice is too thin to fish on safely, and too thick to do anything other than ice fishing, if that makes sense.

Haha. That's kinda what I figured. I just wanted to be a dick and show off the fish some more. Lol.

I love the winter, but this crappy winter makes me want spring to come now.

I love winter fishing. Catch bigger fish, no one else on the water, it's awesome. Just gotta get TVA to stop pulling so much water out of the lake. Can't fish when they're pullin this much water through.

Got an interview on Thursday with the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries in Elizabeth City, NC - just inland of the Outer Banks. This would be a dream job, and I'm super stoked about the opportunity. Me and the ol' Taco will be makin the 6 hr drive down from the Eastern Shore of MD, wish me luck!

    did a little fishing today

Final tally for the day was probably 10-12 reds and 1 trout.

Took pictures of probably half the fish.

Anyone know of or could recommend a bass fishing guide for Lake Okeechobee?? We are planning on being in FL soon, like March, April or May... maybe again in July. I will be staying in Ft. Pierce area...I guess Lake OK is like an hour from the area.

Got outta class today and noticed the wind died down enough to give it ago. Instead of my usual kayak report my buddy was in town with his jonboat so we decided to hit it for a few hours to see what we could do.

Found a bunch of schooled up reds and had steady action the whole time.

I started off the day with a nice slot fish. Picture perfect red.

Then my buddy got hooked into one out of the same school and brought in this slob.

Moved to another creek and found one single fish pushing in the back of the creek that my buddy hooked up with
    [IMG]

Then it started to get dark on us and the water was creeping up making sight fishing a bit harder so i decided to start throwing my spook junior and hooked up with this bad boy

    Had 7 spots total
    [IMG]

Then the sun set on us and it was time to run back to the ramp

Couldnt ask for a more beautiful evening on the water.

    Thanks for reading

I am planning a weekend fishing trip for next month. We are going to eat what we catch and obviously bring in some extra food. Should be a blast, can't wait. It is going to be family, so we should all have a good time.

Was supposed to go on a float trip today. Buddy backed out on me last minute last night. They started generating, but I went and threw off the bank, anyway. Caught a few.

Forward facing camera makes for crappy pics.

    Just caught these...
