^^^I know I thought it should have been over too but I watched a 4 lb bass sitting on a nest for hours..... I did not even get a pickerel to bite which says a lot. This lake is loaded with pickerel, and only one top water bit. I did however see 2 or 3 huge carp, I hope that doesn't have anything to do with why the fish aren't biting.

Weird. What are your water temps like? If they are colder than here then that would delay the spawn. We have water temps in the 70's now on my lake. They usually spawn when water temps are in the 60's. We had our spawn late last month here.

The water was warm that is for sure but there is no activity. Morning, noon or night. I am going to try tomorrow night and possible saturday morning. I have never went on a slump like this in a while.

    Dear _____,
I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice. I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs are phone rings, but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with "the girls" a lot recently, although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them.." I always try to stay awake to look out for her coming home, but I usually fall asleep. Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her.

Around midnight, I decided to hide next to the garage behind my boat so I could get a good view of the whole street when she arrived home from a night out with "the girls". When she got out of the car she was buttoning up her blouse, which was open, and she took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on. It was at that moment, crouching behind the boat, that I noticed some hairline cracks in my gelcoat, right were the hull meets the transom of my boat.

Is this something I can fix myself or should I take the boat to the shop for repairs?

Caught this shovelhead shark down in the florida keys 2 weeks ago. What a fighter! Also caught some snappers and a puffer too. It was awesome. Like others have been saying, fishing in the northeast has been totally beat so far this year. I want to concentrate on saltwater fishing, but it sucks because I live 2 hours from any saltwater.

Anybody got any spots in AZ to go? Need a spot for this upcoming weekend and I would really rather not see any other human beings besides the ones I'm going with. Thanks.

Had a $100 gift card for Bass Pro. Went by today and ended up buy a ton of stuff:eek:

Picked up a new Abu Garcia Vendetta rod. Got a trip planned for Arkansas in October, so hopefully that thing will pull in a pig.

So i went out fri on my buddies jon boat that he let me barrow... I used my own motor and ran about 20 min south of my house on the flats... get close to where i wanted to go and me motor just turns off... i check the gas, the primer ball, and every other dumb noob move that would cause this... then come to find out the wire that goes from the stator to the coil pack was frayed... so i was going to take my knife and strip them back and just twist them together so i could run home... well i grab the wire from the stator and... it falls off in my hand!!! I guess it wasnt my day at all!!! and to make things worse as i was waiting for a tow in from a buddy i didn't even catch anything!!!

Here is the fish from the tournament Sunday. It was 3 lb 12 ounces, nice fish. I took 2nd place the other guy weighed in 2 fish. There were 13 competitors, 2 (1 was me) weighed fish in. Not good...
