Is it a bad pic or are they washed out looking? I try not to hold trout etc by the gils.

Couldn't help it. Our gripper went MIA . One shot hand under belly with him flopping and no gloves for the mouth hold. This Male just after spawning. In another month he'd be heavier

Went to the sportsmans show in Minneapolis today. Spent way more money than I told myself I could spend. I also walked out without the one thing I told myself I could buy. Oh well, I have a sweet new baitcaster combo now.

I was just bustin balls, don't freshwater fish that much anymore since moving out here on MV. Mostly striped bass/bluefish/bonito/False Albacore. With the occasional Bluefin Tuna trip mixed in.
    Keep the pics coming!

First fish of the year. Finally got out to my favorite wading spot after months and months of rain making it un-wadeable. Definitely not huge by any stretch, maybe 11-12", but it's a start. Fought like a champ...love me some smallies. Zoom ultra vibe speed craw in green pumpkin, t-rigged. Caught this one just as I was about to resign myself to being skunked. It is early in the year, water is still pretty cold and has been fluctuating with the air temp swings we've been having. Not a great pic, but I was trying to be fast and get it back in the water quickly.

Been watching the water temps and talking with my friends. They are starting to move into the shallows but not building beds yet.

I went out for technically the 2nd time this year. But its the first time after the ice melted. Water is still cloudy and prob cold, Im guessing another 2-3 weeks for stuff to start going. Not sure on bass as the first we go after is pike.
