Fishing BS Thread

Im a big fan of shorter rods. Most of my fishing is shallow water or in the trees from shore. Shorter rods just work better here.
I have some longer rods, but they are for open water long casts with no obstructions.

Agreed. Was stoked when I just bought my CA fishing license yesterday it is good for 365 days from yesterday. Can't believe it was $60 though

Fleet farm a pretty good clearance today for catfishing. Snagged 5 of these boxes for $4.19 each (%40 off stickered price)

 

Im quoting myself here, but I went onto whisker seekers website to see how much these normally are, because $6.99 seems pretty cheap by itself. Well, they dont list this item and I cant find info on it anywhere. But adding all the items from this little box up gives me a cart total of $40!

Alright wacky rig users, lend me your knowledge.
Each year I like to focus on a tactic for fishing, this year I think I want to master the wacky worm. I did some today, didnt have any wacky hooks with me, but I had a weedless ned head. Caught a couple of bass with it, the bass ignored everything else I threw out there.
Now, I am in MN, we are overgrown with eurasian milfoil and snot algae. So every other cast I was pulling off the snot algae.
So, how would you rig the stick worm to be as weedless as possible?
I was thinking weightless texas rig, but also interested to know how well the weedless wacky hooks work.

 

Probably have to rig it up like a tube bait and maybe use a bullet sinker

 

I was just looking at hooks that rig it just like that, was curious how well the hook can come out of the worm to get a good hookset.
