Depends on the density of the worm and the thickness of the weeds.

I've used similar setups and had to reel gently. no jigging
Any sudden pull might hook ya.

Those images have the worm perpendicular w/ the hook.
I'd run it more with the worm. For less chance of snags.

At Edisto Island for the week. Brought a couple poles with me, but I'm at best a mediocre bass and trout fishermen, and not familiar with tactics for the fish around here. There are a number of ponds around me that I've been told by a local have tilapia in them, and another guy last night told me one has tarpon in it. I've never fished for either of these species, what kind of lures and techniques should I be using?

My son decided that my new Diawa presso ultralight travel rod was his new rod for our upcoming road trip, so I had to get a new rod for myself. Ended up finding a Fenwick Eagle panfish/trout travel rod on clearance, and a 13 fishing creed X on clearance. Spooled it up with 6lb braid and a 8lb fluorocarbon leader.

I switched out the trebles to 1/0 inline x-strong hooks on my trolling lures. The blues and stripers were straightening them…IMG_7899.jpg
