the lake has been a bit slow..but its also been hot as hell..ill let you know how it is once this weather calms down..I have a feeling this tropical storm will cool off the lake. bring the water level up..and fire the fish up.

I have not been in the salt in a few weeks.

The bass fishing in central SC has been slow too...I spent 35 hours on the water from fri-sun and we were able to entice I think 3 bass total to bite...we were getting some strikes on the soft plastics but they wouldn't take it

Tried trolling around the banks/grassy areas/structures...tried deep divers out in the channels...nothing

When the sun went down we switched to cats and managed to put a bunch of those in the boat...but most of them were juveniles and not worth keeping...biggest we brought in were a pair of 4.5lb channels...

I was thinking it has to be something with the weather...it's been HOT...water temps are in the mid 80s already...we've had a ton of rain in the past couple weeks too

Ok sounds like the trend is in most places.... I might try to go out around 3 pm today or 7 am tomorrow morning. IDK yet since I won't have any sleep and I will have to run some heavy equipment for landscaping in my yard.

I have been doing research on a smoker just havent bit the bullet yet. I baked these ribs the other night. Wrapped in foil and a dry rub on 225 for 4 hours then I drained the juice from the foil and slathered them with sweet baby rays and did a couple with stubbs bbq sauce.. WOnder how they would have came out on the smoker....
