My new fishing kayak (SUP) to be fair is home and Almost set up. Waiting on the registration and a few odds and ends to show up. Obviously this is stretching the definition of Paddle Sports a bit. But it’s massively stable, has a clear deck for casting, and... should run close to 20mph once it’s all broken in. Hopefully some pics of blood and guts to follow soon.

    Thanks bro!

No fancy kayak here. Just a vapor 10 angler from old town. Use it to fish almost daily.

I'm curious about this, too. Looks like a lot of space and stability

I bought my first kayak last June. Future beach "discovery". I actually really like it, but would like the option to stand up occasionally. It's plenty stable, but nowhere flat to stand.

Otherwise I'm loving the ability to get into the little quiet lakes. It's very relaxing. Here's a picture that pretty well sums up one of the best days I've ever had! I beached the kayak on the Chippewa River, had a few beers, and caught walleye, smallmouth, sturgeon, and other fish until dark.

I might be a little obsessed with fishing. :)

I posted this fish on another thread here. Caught this red out of my Hobie outback. Got a 3 ft bonnethead shark on video but having trouble uploading it. Not the best pics but hard to get selfies of fish out of the yak with my hands full. This was in PCB Florida. I'll have to give it to Hobie. This is a very stable yak. I loaded my son on the back and peddled out across the bay today. On the way back the wind got up and got a little more choppy than I liked. Never felt like it was going to tip one bit. I've hauled the outback from NC on top of my taco w/Prinsu rack. I can load it ok. Getting ready to head back out before dark and try it again. Hopefully will be posting more pics tomorrow!

Eew, eat the fish you catch? Gross.

JK - I probably have 40 lbs of fish in the freezer. Spoonbill, blue cat and crappie mostly. I’d have more stockpiled but the wife doesn’t eat anything I catch or kill. She’s a city girl.

I thought about whacking a few inches off to make the two reds legal to keep. But they sure were fun to catch. They don't drag the yak around like you would think. Now, the bonnethead shark I caught there pulled me around somewhat. I had a great time in the Hobie outback.
