2017 Outback value? Thinking of upgrading to a 2019, thought I'd get some opinions on the value of my 2017 Outback. Here is the Sacramento craigslist ad. https://sacramento.craigslist.org/spo/d/sacramento-hobie-outback-180-mirage/6809987860.html

I've had plenty of offers at $1,900 but that's too low to justify the upgrade. I don't see any others going that low and rarely see these for sale at all. I think $2,100 is a good price. What do do guys think?

    Thanks

Id take the 1900. Market is getting flooded with older model outbacks. You can get a brand new 2018 outback leftover for 2200 at some places.

We do alot of kayak river camping overnighting on the river chasing smallmouth. Recently added a paddle board to the fleat.

Son loves to load his monster truck full of fishing gear drive himself to our fishing spot sometimes as well. Love this pic from last summer.

Just found this thread. I do a lot of kayak fishing. All saltwater from south LA to FL panhandle. F748CC3A-F560-44D3-9BBA-CDB5238E1F5B.jpg643CF478-CE3C-4ADC-939E-F7D26C982A05.jpg

I think that’s fair price. I’m probably about to put my PA14 up for sale to buy a new outback as well. It really is a great all around kayak. The only complaint I have for the PA is the weight. It’s a pig.

Jealous of these trailers, I'd really like to get one for when I'm hauling two slayer propels, those things are not light and I end up hauling one on my cap and one in the bed

I bought a 14ft jetski trailer for my 2019 outback but I decided to not use it. I got a 1st gen taco instead with boonedocks. I can launch within 5 minutes of getting to my location

I also have the boonedox landing on my PA. It’s a must have accessory. When I travel long distance I put the PA in the bed like you do and also you the bed extended.

Those new outbacks are nice. I’d like to sell my 2016 and upgrade. Not sure I’d get much for it though

Yeah if you have a truck, its much easier to transport than a trailer. I was going to buy a beater 1st gen awd crv to haul my kayak.. but i was like nahh.. thats doing way too much. My taco loads up and go. No need for all that extra space taking up parking

It's worth what someone will pay for it. You can always list it at $2,100 and drop the price if it does not sell.

Did a little kayak fishing today, only caught 1 fish, but made some 4 legged friends up the river.

Trout fishing is great in Utah so it will mostly be small mountain area lakes and reservoirs where I can not take my boat all rather deep water doing trolling, spinning and doing still fishing. As for budget that is open but I would like to stay in the $3500 range for Kayak and start off gear but that depends how addicted I get.....

3500 is a very good budget considering all the accessories youll want. The expensive part of kayak fishing is paying for things that make it convenient for you. I can fish with just a kayak and a rod but youll want all kinds of other things. Wheels to transport the kayak, loading options(bed extender, rack, trailer, etc), fish finders, mounts for accessories such as rod holders or gopro mounts, anchoring , tackle box storage, etc
