from everything ive read, those are nice kayaks. Bonafide makes quality stuff. there are a few in that price range that are good also.
Nucanoe Flint is another one, and also the Old Town Topwater 120
my best advice would be to see if you can demo several from a local dealer.
Also, spend a little extra on a light long paddle. look at Werner, Bending Branches, and Aqua Bound.

I had a guy recommend the BB Ace. Said it's been good to him for 6 years. But I will look into the variety!

My cheapo field & stream. Great for calm water. Not great in waves.

Try the French Broad around Asheville. Excellent smallmouth fishing. Always wanted to put the yak on lake Julian and try it.

I have not been to DuPont kayaking. I have been there and seen people rolling their yaks into the lakes. Believe there about a mile from Buck Forest parking. I don't think I'd put in on the river. There are major waterfalls.

I’m looking for some ideas for off season kayak storage. I have plenty of room in my garage or shed. Show some pictures if you would....

I made a stand to hold my 2 kayaks out of PVC pipe, pretty cheap and easy. I got a newer kayak that is supposed to be stored hanging on its side, so I cut a bit off the top of the PVC rack, slide the new kayak up, and tighten the straps. You can also buy some hooks and slings to hang them on a wall. Tons of images and ideas via Google.

I made a kayak cart that i keep mine on all year. its on wheels so i can roll it out to the truck to load/unload. its also handy for working on it, and holding all my junk.

I was given two ASCEND Kayaks today. One is a FS10T and the other is a FS12T. The FS10T has an issue. The keel on the front is bent and has a dent. Anybody have any suggestions on how to heat the Thermo Plastic up to get the bent area back straight so it wont go around in circles. The FS12T also has a dent in the bottom but I don't think it will effect the kayak. Both kayaks were under a deck when a tree came down crushing the deck on top of the kayaks. They were going to be thrown away but I am hoping to save both of them.

A cheap heat gun from Harbor Freight should do it
You can weld as well with it by melting a similar plastic
    Youtube will teach you.

I see a lot of kayakers in the NRS Chinook. I'm happy with a $60 Cabelas PFD. Comfort or suitability may depend on what type of seat or backrest you have.

The NRS caught my eye and appears to suit my needs, I have the new Outback and the NRS has the high back for comfort.

I use an Onyx for the light weight and coolness because it gets really hot here. Depends on your climate and type of fishing imo. Lake vs. ocean vs. river, etc.

I'm new to kayak fishing since I was gifted a hobie compass for my birthday. I ended up getting a Stolhquist Fisherman PFD, but the NRS caught my eyes. I rather sacrifice a little comfort knowing my PFD will always work so I went that route over the inflatables.
