I’m not your pal nor am I your bud. Threshold braking ? That’s exactly what you are warned not to do with abs. Since when are you capable of braking all four wheels independently all the time ?
Got a surprise for you. Threshold braking ( that’s braking) is a term used mainly in motor sports. It’s what I do with my ATV. Why ? Because I don’t have abs in my ATV nor on my motor cycle when I had one.

Actually, from 50, a Loaded semi WILL stop faster, mostly because it has less of a chance of locking up the brakes, and skidding, which will increase your stopping distance. An older bobtailed tractor will actually take more distance to stop just like an empty pickup will because of lowered traction... I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but that's why all new tractors and trailers have ABS, to reduce the skidding...

The stopping distance for a loaded semi is over 300 feet. Most cars stop in less than 1/2 that distance. Traction is part of the equation but so is inertia.

So you’re saying a fully loaded, 80k semi will stop faster than a semi without a trailer.

Turn off that ABS and practice friend! Your stopping distance will decrease ;)

A fully loaded semi can certainly stop faster than this thread.

But you lose control. The whole premise to ABS is to MAINTAIN CONTROL of the vehicle and not slide off somewhere unintended with no control but shorter stop distance by 4 ft.
Dammit, I said I wouldn't get sucked into this.....
