First off I'm pretty new this is my first forum post. I have a 3 in leveling kit installed. Im wanting to run 285/75r16 on my stock 2018 Trd offroad wheels. I already have a set of hub centric spacers that are 1.5in as well as the lug nut extensions for the front studs. My question is I've seen people do it with 1.25 in wheel spacers. Would I be able to get away with 1.5in spacers?

Are you worried about rubbing? I’m not sure what your question is for getting away with 1.5 inch spacers.

It would depend on your wheels (how much offset) and if you have adjustable UCAs. Or the alternative is just cutting away whatever it rubs on.

Yeah I'm wondering about rubbing. Everything on the tacoma is stock. Except for the struts spacers and leaf spacers in the rear. I just wanna know if anyone has done it with very minimal rubbing. They are the stock toyota TRD OR wheels. I'm pretty sure they are like +15 16x7

yeah I didn't know that. I thought I saw some where they were +15 maybe those were the TRD PRO wheels. idk. im just trying to figure out if I need to get 1.25 in Wheel spacers or if my 1.5s I have right now will work. I know the 1.5 will push the tire out further. didn't know if that would cause rub on other parts compared to 1.25. I see people doing the 1.25 all day. thanks in advance.

Even the 1.25 spacers can be problematic. I have 285s, Method wheels (0 offset), SPC adjustable UCAs, King shocks with ~2" of lift. I put 1.25 spacers on mine and I was rubbing so bad that I couldn't even turn the wheel. I adjusted the UCAs as far as I could and it made it a little better but I still would rub hard enough that it would lock up the wheel. So like I said above, there's many things that go in to if it will work, and even if someone came on here and said they had the exact same setup as you, I would still be leery and approach it as such. If you already have them, give them a shot as see if they work, just know you may have to order something else.

UCAs are the key, my man. I've got 35s, 1.25 spacers, and no rub ever. SPC UCAs are set to G.
