Can a 2nd gen bed extender be adapted to 1st gen? Is it is as simple as new mounts? Picked up a new Factory unit for a great price. Was going to just sell it but wonder if just swapping the mounting would allow it to work on my 1st gen DC.

    Anyone done this?

    Thanks

Im sure it wont fit. The 2nd gen is way bigger. Would require cutting and fabbing just to get it to fit.

A second gen one poped up on my radar for really cheap so i had to ask if they were similar enough to give it a try.

    Thank you for the help.

Can someone post pics of their bed extender (1st gen)? I have a bed extender that has no hardware, and i'm not sure of the mounting position,or style of hardware.
