in the near future i am going to be getting a 2.5" bilstein lift on stock coils and a 2" leaf upgade in the back. im trying to find out how much trimming i will need with 33s and i am not getting a definitive answer. the 33 bfg A/Ts will be on stock wheels, so they will be 33x10.5x15. How much trimming am i going to have to do on the front? From what i have read i will have to cut out some in the back of the wheel well and slam down the pinch. Pics of what people have cut would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

p.s. THIS IS NOT A MALL CRAWLER. all of this work is in preparation for moab so i need to be able to flex out and wheel this set up without causing problems.

on only 1.5 that must have taken some extensive cutting to get it to not rub when flexed

its crazy how much different 33s look vs 32s. thats about what im going for. My front end would be a bit lighter because i have the 4 banger. but what trimming was involved

I havehe eibach coils in the the front on my 4 banger, the only trimming I had to do to be able to drive on the road is the little plastic piece that bulges out a little

Instead of trimming the pinch just beat it with a hammer inwards, I'm about to do that Alec this weekend cause I rub a good amount on that part off road

Oh alright, 33s are worth the extra penny compared to 32s I had 31s before and too me it didn't make sense to only go up one size when I put a little more than 3 inches of lift

Speaking of tires sticking out of the fender...mine stick out just over 2 inches
    [IMG]

Thats mine, sitting on eibach coils with billy 5100s set at 0, and OME dakkar leafs in the back, with procomp 33x12.5 tires on 15x10 rims. I have half an inch of clearance to my frame at full lock and half an inch to the UCA, and it rubs on the pinch weld, but my cut out flares going on next week will solve that, only other trimming I did was rip most of the plastic out of the wheel well.

Thank you for the link very informative. I still have an issue tho. Im still on stock rims because I dont have to money for new ones, and the offset on the stock rims causes the tire to hit the frame and the upper A arm. would a wheel spacer fix this problem or just cause more?

What size rims do you have? And did you need spacers?

15x10 mickey thompson classic locks with 33x12.5 duratracs. no spacers. He needed to a nice bit of trimming and hammering though

So when you had 32’s did you have to do any trimming or hammering?

they rubbed on literally everything with 0, 2.5, and 3" of lift. Had to do pinch weld mod and wheel spacers. on 35s now.
