I have a 2018 Tacoma, 3/4" lift in the front, 1.5" Icon Progressive AAl in the rear, and 1.25" wheel spacers on stock TRD Sport wheels.

My question: Can I fit 33" tires? I have 31" tires now and there seems to be plenty of room.

    Thanks ahead of time!

Lose the wheel spacers and you can fit 255/85r16

I was able to fit 33s (255/85/16) on my stock OR with NO lift. Just had to trim the fender a bit as they did rub when fully articulated

Can you show where you had to trim? Or was it just remove the mudflaps?

I just had to trim the small area in the red box. To determine if there was anymore rubbing i chalked the inside of the fender to see if it got worn off on the trail. So far no more rubbing

What was your method of trimming ... Blade, sand paper, or dremel? I’ve got a slight rub on the front lt when turning rt after putting on 265/75/16s.

I just turned the tire out of the way and used some metal snips to snip off that corner. Took like 2 mins each side

Worst case, you rub while in reverse. I'm on 33s with plenty of clearance. When the truck "squats" in reverse I get the slightest little touch with the tire. Not worth the CMC.

With the weight from the tent and everything it evens out to nearly stock rake ratio

Thanks for all the replies guys! Truly a great community here!

By all your thoughts I think I'll go with the 33s!

I may be ignorant to the obvious, but why would losing the wheel spacers help with larger tires? I thought it was opposite (wheel spacers help clear larger tires)

The problem is not the height of the tire but the width the wider your wheels or the wider they poke increases rub against the cab mount when your wheels are turned.

This is why some people go with a skinny tire. Others with wider tires often need a CMC. Some people rub with 265/75 tires.

It all depends on your offset and backspacing.
