Where'd you get a solid model of the frame? I'd like to get a copy to model a flatbed for my truck.

So the mounts do cut through the bed? If that’s the case, it should work on the long bed. I thought the mount was completely under the bed. Is it sealed to the bed?

Yes the shock mount is notched into the bed. This was done to pull the shock closer to the frame so the tire doesn’t rub on the bypass tubes when it’s all flexed out. And yes the tower is sealed up against the bed. The cross bar isn’t necessarily needed but it definitely adds some strength to the setup

Makes sense. I want to give it a try on my long bed.

You use the metal template provided to hole saw a 3” hole in the top of the shock bucket. You will also need to change your resi fitting to the stubby style

What plate is that? Can you take the shock off without removing the 3 bolts? I'm looking to replace my TC aluminum piece as I'm tire of taking the 3 bolts off to remove the shock.

It’s a top hat we make specifically for our kit to maximize up travel and yes you can pull the shock without removing the top hat

Is that top hat available as a separate part?

Yes but I will have to get more laser cut as I only have enough for the LT kits we have

Awesome thanks! And I had planned to change fitting like yours with the description in the email you sent but I’m gonna run these until I can save for a rebuild/re valve on these and some bypasses.

Did you cycle the shock without the spring? With the top of the shock that much lower it makes it shorter and could bottom out. The older TC design is like this in the 2wd config and to go 4wd you flip the top hat over and need a longer bottom eyelet.

To get that extra uptravel, the stock bump stop needs to be removed?

You get all the uptravel without removing the bumpstop. We run an 8” coilover on the LT kit and the top hat we have allows for all the uptravel with the correct leverage ratio on the shock

No I did not cause I was too lazy to take the spring off again. But I cycled without the shock to verify cv bind and limit strap position. Makes sense why it was sitting so high lol.

@81Trekker - can you tell me the offset of the mounting location of your top hat relative to the mounting face (ie- the bottom face of the upper coil mount) ? Id buy a pair if they're close to what I need... Thanks in advance
