So I have tried to find more information but my buddy is looking at getting RCV CVs for his 4runner. I told him about your axels. They both use 300m shafts but can you tell me why theirs or your would be better? I know yours are cheaper and I love the information that you have in the description on the web site but I have no first hand information with either. I am just looking for mor information. He is looking to buy now for his total chaos kit. Thanks for the help.

@81Trekker are the LCA Joints Special ordered EMF parts? I think they are different from UCA ones?

It’s going to be party time.... eventually sometime this year. Haha

Can’t say thanks enough to the guys at JD Fab. Harry and Jesse are knocking this Tacoma stuff out of the park.

I gotta get this front end done so I can start working on redoing the rear.

I believe RCV is still using the tulip joint for the inner CV. That's a weaker design, both for strength and amount of allowable articulation.

The 934 inner CV in these kits is also an 'off the shelf' item from Kartek and other serious offroad shops, so it's a readily replaceable part should you manage to brake one without ripping the rest of the front drivetrain apart. It also allows more range of motion (articulation).

Well when it’s finally rolling I’ll bring it by. I’m sure I’ll be coming by for more parts later this year.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
More information please. I've never heard of anything like this, even with extreme usage, max articulation and steering, under power, with 37's, etc. RCV is lifetime warranty, stronger than the diff and other driveline parts according to most. I haven't seen a picture or heard a story of a broken RCV in normal usage. Normally, folks who break stock axles regularly, move to RCV and never have another problem.

I wonder if they were somehow binding up, not enough axle plunge or something, or if there is a difference between tacoma and 4 4runner when it comes to required axle length.

If you broke an RCV and didn't break anything else it has to be defective. Fortunately they have a life time warrantee.

they had my axles out when they did my JD fab lower pivots, told me that they wouldn't turn by hand. They are binded up inside. My outer boots also leaked(non silicone ones)
Might have exaggerated the blown up part. the insides are blown. They are in RCVs warranty queue now. only 34" here. But they were bought new just before they started building them with silicone boots. installed for 6 months. Never abused. lift height should be under 3" and have diff drop.

yup only the RCVS were broken

Seriously. Usually the front diff or the ADD stub shaft is the next failure point.

T4R is a different assembly, lengths and splines I think, but it's the same principal.
