That sounds really backwards to me... build a stout drivetrain then add power

 

This would be an easier decision if I wasn't also building another truck

How much time does it take to install this kit? Assuming LCA pivot, spindle gusset, coil bucket gusset, slide rack.

 

How long does it take @81Trekker to do all this or are you asking how long for someone in their garage with basic tools? Because those are going to be two very different answer

 

Yeah, should've specified. I mean for the kits out in the wild. I have access to a very well equipped shop and I'm pretty handy (for a layman) when it comes to fabrication and wrenching in general. But I'd like to hear from the average Joe, doing this in their drive way.


Edit: kinda curious how long it takes @81Trekker to knock it out as well.

 

For a point of reference, it took me ~30 hrs to do the pivot kit start to finish, while also dropping in 4.88/ARB 3rds/compressor. Not exactly what you asked for, but the process wasn't technically difficult with basic tools. I'm probably slower than most.

I'm trying to figure out if I take a week off work, if I can knock this out. This is my daily, so it can't just sit until I have time to work on it randomly.
