Definitely switch. I had the aluminum pipe originally, and it rattled like crazy and ended up cracking my cowling up pretty bad. Switched to the flexy pipe stuff and silence finally.

Not quite understanding the condescension. That is a huge gap which will fill the engine compartment with mud, water, whatever. Sticking a bunch of mud and water under the hood is not a good thing. If you build your own out of rubber similar to what we have now from the inner fender to somewhere on the frame that line will definitely be in the tire travel area. Would need molded plastic to make a semi ridged right angle or metal. Neither of which are my specialty, nor do I think that is a standard shop request.

On the intake I have yet to pull that relocate trigger yet hoping something better came out for the Gen 3. For now just cleaning more often.

The inner fenders have a small lip on the backside where you can make and install mud guards like the OEM ones if you see the need.

Personally I would never run them as every off road truck I’ve ever owned hasn’t even had a core support and it’s never been an issue. I’m also not into mud bogging either

The issue here is that a lot of people fail to understand what JDFab is making here. These are borderline race truck parts. They build these expecting their customers to have some basic fabrication skills if not advanced skills. Most of their parts get you 90% of the way there the rest is up to you and your abilities. If pretty prerunner is your end game do what @Evenflow did and drop it off at JDFab and tell them what you want. They will build it but you will pay for that expertise.

35s, flatbed, rhino liner paint, SOS front bumper, JD Fab lca pivot, JD Fab inner fenders and some other stuff.
I just got a chance to look over my lca pivot kit and spindle gussets. All I can say is these things are bringing the beef. I can't wait to get them under the truck. Thanks to all the guys at JD Fab for putting together such a awesome product for us Tacoma guys. Once I get these on I'll let everyone know what I think of these but my initial impression is one that makes me glad I pulled the trigger on this kit. You guys will definitely be hearing back from me to get more quality parts as my budget allows. Oh and thanks for the jolly ranchers and most importantly stickers.

It’s a phrase we use for our $500k luxury prerunners... it’s a term of endearment and the highest compliment that comes out of our shop!

If I had the means, I'd ship off the truck. With a list of what I want done. Call me when ready to bill and pick it up.
Wrap it pink and call it "Pretty in Pink" for all I'd care. It'd be a built ass truck that I can take out and have fun in.
