Probably not my most PC post, but we must find a way to continue and move forward.

I thought what justified the higher price of Miller 211 over Hobart 210MVP and Harbor Freight MigMax 215 was that it's automatic technology is supposed to turn your welds into magic

you were supposed to drink the 12pk during welding to focus and relax better
    not after

I wonder if the Vulcan OmniPro is a good option.
Only $200 more than the MigMax 215, but upgrades capability from a MIG/flux only machine to one capable of Mig Tig and Stick

    That looks really good...

1.5yr of how often? Say at least once per month on scrap?
Wish I had a home garage; would be easier to practice there!
I really hope that much practice isn't necessary...
Was eyeing buying a welder to DIY install, with at least 3 practice runs on scrap. Maybe hammering or cutting the scrap to check penetration
Much more appealing to finish the job with a nice tool to keep for future mods...

Damn...now that would have been a good layer to that joke. Unfortunately, I had to google how many lotto numbers there are, so I was working with the basics :rofl:

@81Trekker I think there are enough people in line to get a GB together. Can we have @ovrlndkull set this up?

    Just gussets... everywhere
I would have waited for the GB to order my UCAs and coil bucket gussets but if one is being set up I’ll just order something else. Power steering pump kit is next on my list along with the SUA kit.

It doesn't seem like JD needs a group buy to sell any of their product so why would they? The current demand seems to keep them busy as it is, why increase demand for less of a margin? o_O

That's what I'm saying. Wouldn't make any sense. They just release the PS kit and are working diligently on the design of the high clearance fenders along with the many other kits currently on order. A group buy would only increase the overall demand but reduce their overall profit margins.

    Doesn't make any sense IMO.

I agree completely. If for some reason they do one, I'm in. If they don't, they're still getting my money. Aiming to be the first JD equipped truck in MA :mudding::cool:

    All of them.
Is the PS kit going to be adapted to work on the 3rd gen? I see a majority of his stuff is 2nd gen specific.

I hear ya but it doesn’t hurt to ask. If they did decide to do a GB, they would be even busier and they would be making more money. They would also get more trucks using their products. I found out about JD fabrication 2 weeks ago... I think having more trucks with JD Fab parts would be great for them. And who wouldn’t like a little discount?!

    Whole lotta stuff
depends on how large the cut to profits. In the end, they gotta run a business and support their families.

I’d rather wait to hear if JD fab feel they are in a good position in production first before they offer a GB. Works out better for the both business and customer that way. I also don’t mind waiting to make that financial commitment haha.
