Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

Why not just do the JD stock length UCA?

 

Or the UCA he has specified for when you run the LCA kit.

 

Just thinking of getting the tire all the way forward.

 

Not on the site that I see, unless ordered with the +2 or 4 kits.

A high caster arm is going to be bringing the top of the tire back towards the firewall.

 

The JBA high caster UCA's actually position the upper ball joint further rear on the vehicle, so it would not be helping you out.

 

They would counter act each other to an extent

 

There may be an issue with the angles of the joints at the spindle if the upper was pushed too far back and the lower to far forward. Possibly why JD offers stock length arms (.25 set back for use with lower control arm mount) and (.75 set back for stock lower arm position). Now of course you can use another mfg. upper and JD's LCA and leave the lower control arm in the stock location. You will still improve the LCA mount durability but not take full advantage of what it offers.

You would just focus on optimizing the alignment figures with it. Probably be able to move the LCA a 1/4" forward, which would help a little bit. As mentioned you might find your self limiting travel as the JBA UCA would not be designed for a different LCA position.

Edit: by the time you sell your JBA's and buy the JD fab upper control arms, you probably won't be out of pocket that much of a difference.
