How can I keep the worm gear head/boot from colliding with the shock tab? Ball joint isn’t maxed out and I’m strapped one inch up on the shock per instructions.

You don't use a worm clamp and use the proper pinch clamp

That’ll help. These are what came on it unfortunately. The boot will still make contact however

Make sure the boot is on the axle in the right place. It might need to move closer to the joint.

I moved it down right past the splines. I strapped it higher until I can source new clamps

I think I’m just at the max travel. Should be fine with a new clamp. Guess I’ll need to put my resi up here since I didn’t get a 90 fitting on the resi side

Harry told me he uses the worm gears now. I had one of mine slip off. I used a worm gear for a temp fix but ultimately used the cv boot strap and tool from Kartek. Your boot needs to be pushed towards the joint more. I had to wrestle mine before I clamped it. I was stubborn and didn’t taker anything apart to get to it though.

I always use hose clamps there as it makes trail side repairs much easier. All you need to do is loosen the clamps and slide the boot down. It will clear no problem

The resi is designed to attach to the side of the frame where you have that bumper bracket thing. If it were my truck I’d ditch that thing, mount the resi on the side of the frame where it’s designed to be mounted and reinforce the front frame horns so you don’t need that bracket

Clears no problem, simply push the boot down towards the hub
